



Virtual Box, however, is more easily used on a larger flash drive, on a machine that's got a good chunk of RAM. QEMU is a better call simply because it's more light-weight, and thus is better used in combination with Damn Small Linux. With this method, any Linux distributions, Windows OS, etc, may be run from the emulator. Long Answer: Ubuntu can be used in an emulators of sorts, and I believe some of the considered candidates are Virtual Box (which will require working with them, or recompiling the open source edition), or QEMU (which has already been recompiled to be completely opens source, it's just been pushed to the back).
